I went into a store and saw these on sale for 160. It was love at first sight. Then I found out they did not have lens covers. I walked out with them for 130.
They are small so they are a little easier to carry than the 8x42 but the weight is not that much difference. The glass was very good and looking out of them was great. Then darkness came. Well, 10x36 is not so good in dim light. The 8x36 would be ok. Of course the 8x42 would be best but I could have lived with the 8x36 because of the size. I wanted a pair to go to yard sales in the morning. Well, a 10x36 is not good for this at all. In fact you need a lot of light to use these. I took them back even with nothing wrong with them as they did not look good in low light. You could still see out of them and the quality was very very good but the image was too dark. I bought 10 pair in yard sales and only an 8x40 was any good but all 10 had more light than these but only the 8x40's and a pair of 7x35 were better.
Advice: Get the 8x36 or 8x42 or even the 10x42.
If I had to do it oven again I would have kept them but I have gotten 10 bad ones in yard sales and I got these for 130. At 230 I would not even pick them up.
